UOC House Church Set Ablaze in Khmelnytskyi Region

Police have identified the arsonist.
HOLOSKIV — The Press Service of the Khmelnytskyi Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (OUC) reports that on the night of August 1-2, the house church of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God was deliberately set on fire.
Personnel from the State Emergency Service were able to promptly extinguish the flames; Law enforcement officers quickly identified the perpetrator, showing a high degree of professionalism.
The statement from the Press Service states that, "the religious community of the UOC of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Holoskiv, Khmelnytskyi district, expresses its gratitude to the employees of the State Emergency Service and the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Khmelnytskyi region for their professional fulfillment of their duties, thanks to which the fire was promptly extinguished and the perpetrator was identified."

During a similar incident this past May in Dnipro, police released the arsonist shortly after being apprehended.
