Churches of UOC damaged by shelling in Sumy and Donetsk Regions

As a result of a Russian airstrike, a church of the Sumy Eparchy of the UOC in one of the villages of the Bezdrytska rural community was damaged on August 25. The following day, August 26, the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in the village of Novoekonomichne in Donetsk Region was shelled once again. This information is reported by the press service of the Sumy Eparchy and the Telegram channel of the Pokrovsk Eparchy.

In the damaged church of the Sumy Eparchy, the explosion caused damage to the ceiling, roof, doors, and windows.

The direct hit on the church in Novoekonomichne destroyed the dome of the church.

Earlier, on July 8, the church suffered significant damage both outside and inside from shelling, with broken windows, damaged walls, ceiling, and altar area.

As reported earlier, in August, two UOC churches in a village of the Yunakivka community in Sumy Region were affected by shelling.
