Father Vasyl Balan, the rector of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Vinnytsia region, recorded a video at the Holy Dormition Pochaiv Lavra, in which he refuted claims of commercial activity at the monastery. The priest posted the video on the church’s Facebook page.

He showed that parking, restrooms and holy water at the Lavra are provided for free, contrary to claims of paid services made after inspections of the monastery by the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture.

In the video, the priest urged viewers not to believe false accusations against the Lavra and the Church.

As reported by the UOJ, the Pochaiv Lavra refuted media fake news about violations at the Assumption Cathedral.
