On September 18, 2024, a hearing took place in the Sosnivka District Court of Cherkasy regarding the criminal case against Metropolitan Theodosiy (Snigiriev) of Cherkasy and Kaniv of the UOC. During the session, a prosecution witness was questioned, who explained why he believes the Metropolitan should be held accountable. This was reported by Suspilne.Cherkasy.

The witness emphasized that he had developed a hostile relationship with the accused. When asked by the prosecutor about the reasons, he explained that he is a parishioner of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) and is outraged by Theodosiy's statements on YouTube, which, in his opinion, provoke interfaith hostility. Another witness is scheduled to be questioned in the case. The next hearing is slated for September 25.

As previously reported by UOJ, the court denied Metropolitan Theodosiy's request to merge the criminal cases.
