The conciliar mind of the Ecumenical Church not only can but must assess the actions of Phanar. Metropolitan Anthony (Pakanich) of Boryspil and Brovary, Chancellor of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, said this in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Asked whether Patriarch Bartholomew, who recognized the schismatics, is a heretic and whether there should be some kind of conciliar resolution on this matter, the UOC hierarch noted that “Phanar’s advancement of the concept of ‘the first without equals’ and its vectoring towards union with Rome causes many difficult and reasonable questions.”

“In my opinion, the conciliar mind of our entire Ecumenical Church not only can, but also must assess the appropriate actions,” he stressed.

The Metropolitan noted that the resumption of the active activity of the "Amman format" could play a role in considering all topical issues in all their depth and urgency.

Also, the UOC Chancellor told why there are no statements from Phanar regarding the raiding of the OCU.
