On September 28, the Kyiv Theological Schools held a memorial service for those killed in Russian missile strikes on Sumy and Kryvyi Rih, as reported by the KDAiS website.
With the blessing of the rector of the KDA, Archbishop Sylvester, the memorial service was led by the pro-rector for educational and methodological work, Archimandrite Panteleimon (Melnyk), at the Academic Church of St. John of Damascus in the Intercession Monastery in Holosiiv. He was joined by the teachers of the Kyiv Theological Schools.
The liturgical hymns were sung by the Kyiv Theological Schools' choir under the direction of Archimandrite Leontiy (Tupkalo).
"The Kyiv Theological Schools express their condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased. May the All-Merciful Lord grant rest to the souls of the innocently slain in the homes of the righteous," the statement said.
