People want the Ukrainian Church, but there is no one to be appointed rectors. "Archbishop" of the Kharkiv and Izium of the OCU Afanasy Shkurupiy said this in an interview with Ukrinform.
He said that after the Tomos had been granted to the OCU, the church situation in the region did not change dramatically, "primarily because there are no clergy personnel."
Although, according to him, "a significant part of the inhabitants of regional centers, towns, villages and cities want to have a Ukrainian church, especially now that we have received the Tomos of Autocephaly, but we have no human resource to be appointed as rectors."
We will remind, earlier the "hierarch" of the OCU Afanasy Shkurupiy accused another "hierarch" of the OCU of the raider seizure of churches and thanked those who did not go to the competitor.
As the UOJ reported, less than 1% of the UOC parishes transferred to the OCU voluntarily.
