On October 6, local OCU activists attempted to close the church of the Holy Martyrs Cyprian and Justina and to dissolve the UOC parish. However, Orthodox residents of the village of Pryslip in the Lviv region did not allow them to do so and continue to fight for their right to pray and practice their faith.

"On this day, a group of individuals, members of the religious organization OCU, led by the acting village head, Andriyana Semits, committed actions aimed at violating the rights of our religious community – the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in honor of the Holy Martyrs Cyprian and Justina. During these events, threats of property destruction and physical violence were uttered against my family, particularly my wife, who was recording the violations," stated the church elder Petro Kudrych in a video message published by the Dozor_kozak1 Telegram channel.

The UOC parishioners have filed a complaint with the police and the prosecutor’s office regarding the violation.

"Dear friends, only our unity and concern will help us protect our rights to freely practice our faith. The Lord God is with us!" added the elder of the UOC parish.

As previously reported by the UOJ, in Pryslip, OCU supporters were unable to vote for the closure of the UOC church.
