On 22 October 2024, the court hearing for Metropolitan Arseniy did not take place. Due to a motion filed by one of the bishop's lawyers, the hearing was postponed, reports the press service of the Sviatohirsk Lavra.

"Due to scheduling conflicts, some of the bishop's defenders are unable to attend, as they are engaged in other court proceedings," the monastery stated. "In such cases, the abbot of the Lavra declines to hold the court session, as he has an inherent right to defence, which can only be fully realized with the participation of all lawyers in the hearing."

The Lavra also emphasizes that the Metropolitan Arseniy case is gaining more and more public resonance, and the proceedings are already being discussed in Western media.

The next court hearing is scheduled for 24 October 2024.

As reported by the UOJ, Metropolitan Arseniy gave an interview to a British media outlet about the persecution of the UOC.
