The court hearing regarding Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy and Kaniv, which was scheduled for October 23, has been postponed due to a request from his lawyer, reports Suspilne.
The defence stated that as of 23 October, the UOC hierarch is hospitalized with injuries and cannot participate in the court session.
"On 21 October, a request was submitted by Yudin (Metropolitan Theodosiy’s lawyer) to postpone the hearing, as the metropolitan sustained injuries during the clash near the church: a concussion and a first-degree eye burn," the judge commented.
As reported by the UOJ, Metropolitan Theodosiy was hospitalized on 17 October after the seizure of the UOC cathedral in Cherkasy.
