Only three communities of UOC left in Lviv Eparchy

On 4 November 2024, by order No. 1179/0/5-24ВА from the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration (RMA), amendments were approved to the statute of the religious community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Vidniv, Nesteriv district. The community has officially joined the OCU, reports Risu.
The same order also deregistered several UOC religious communities that ceased their activities by their own decision. Among them are:
- The UOC religious community of the Resurrection of Christ in the city of Stryi;
- The UOC religious community in the village of Stariava, Mostyska district;
- The UOC religious community of Saints Cyprian and Justina in the village of Pryslyp, Turka district;
- The UOC religious community in the village of Yavora, Turka district.
As of 4 November 2024, three religious communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church remain officially registered in the Lviv region:
- The UOC religious community of the Holy Trinity parish in Lviv;
- The UOC religious community of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos in the city of Radekhiv;
- The UOC religious community of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker in the city of Sosnivka.
As reported by the UOJ, the Lviv authorities reported that they had closed 20 UOC communities since the beginning of the war.
