On December 5, 2024, Epifaniy Dumenko, during a meeting with a delegation of experts from leading U.S. think tanks and conservative organizations, stated that Russia is striving to destroy the OCU.
During the meeting, Epifaniy told the Americans that "the aggressor state and its church structure, which verbally declare Christian values, actually do the opposite."
"They bring us death, suffering, and destruction. Therefore, we have no choice in this struggle. If we do not defend ourselves, they will exterminate our people and our Church," emphasized the head of the OCU.
He also said that he prays for the "Kremlin tyrant" to be forced to abandon aggression against Ukraine.
At the same time, Dumenko stated that "in the fight for the freedom granted to us by God, we also rely on continued support from our loyal friends in the United States and other countries."
Previously, the UOJ reported that Dumenko called on Georgians to "protect their European future".
