Pope Francis received Epifaniy Dumenko at the Vatican, according to a Facebook post by Ukraine's ambassador to the Holy See, Andriy Yurash.

"A private meeting and fraternal conversation with Pope Francis this morning!" Yurash wrote, adding that Dumenko will lead "two important events" in Italy: a prayer for Ukraine at the Church of San Teodoro and a liturgy in Bari.

Previously, the UOJ reported that Patriarch Bartholomew discussed with Catholics the condition for unity between the Phanar and the RCC.
