New York Young Republicans Release Statement Condemning "Zelensky's Spiritual Ethnic Cleansing of Ukraine."

New York, NY—Just after 2100h on May 23, 2025, the New York Young Republicans released a statement on their website condemning what they call "Zelensky’s Spiritual Ethnic Cleansing of the Ukraine - New York Young Republican Club."

"Completely unknown to the American People, their government is funding the banishment of Orthodox Christians from the Ukraine. Since engorging itself on billions of American taxpayer dollars, the autocratic Zelensky Regime and its secret police are concluding a years-long battle to spiritually ethnic cleanse their country."

The statement draws American's attention to the pressing threat facing millions of Ukrainians who wish to remain loyal to the thousand year old church.

"Such harsh legislation could scarcely be believed in a free country, but Ukraine is not free, and this was neither the beginning nor the end of their persecution of the UOC. Since February 2022, over 1,500 UOC parishes have been seized by the government and handed to the schismatic Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), which few Orthodox patriarchates recognize. Law No. 3894 was passed in August of last year, but, now, the Zelensky Regime is preparing to do away with the UOC forever."

The New York Young Republicans call for swift federal action to block the spiritual ethnic cleansing of Ukraine before it is too late," listing off several leading human rights organizations who have condemned Zelensky's actions.

The statement's release comes just hours after the release of Tucker Carlson's interview with three term Ukrainian Parliamentarian and Archdeacon Vadym Novynskyi.
