St. Tikhon's Monastery Offers 'Eight Tones Crash Course'
WAYMART, PA – St. Tikhon’s Monastery will host a three-day crash course on the Eight Tones, led by renowned musicologist and conductor Dr. Vlad Morosan, from September 19-21 (Friday to Sunday) at the Monastery Music Center, located at 175 St. Tikhons Rd, Waymart, PA 18472.
The beginner-friendly workshop is designed to teach participants the history, structure, and application of the tones, focusing on melodies, harmonies, choir pitching, and singing to unpointed text. Attendees will gain the skills to confidently sing any tone in their church choirs.

- Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – Session Two; 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. – Lunch (provided); 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. – Session Three; 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. – Vigil at Monastery Temple
