ROMANIA — Fr. Josiah Trenham, widely known for his Patristic Nectar YouTube channel and publishing company, recently traveled to Sihastria Monastery in Romania to participate in the glorification of St. Cleopa. With the personal invitation of Met. Teofan, Fr. Josiah was blessed to carry the relics of the beloved Romanian saint.

The local canonization of Ss. Cleopa (Ilie) and Paisie (Olaru) took place on Aug. 7, 2025, and drew more than 20,000 pilgrims from Romania and abroad. The newly canonized saints are two of the most beloved spiritual fathers of the Romanian Orthodox Church in the 20th century.

Fr. Josiah has spoken about his love for St. Cleopa on numerous occasions. In the past, he has visited the Sihastria Monastery on pilgrimage to see the grave of the beloved elder, and has offered reflections on his life and teachings.

Previously, UOJ reported that Patristic Nectar Publications had released a new book on the life of St. Cleopa that is available for purchase.

May we all be blessed to receive the elder's wish for us — that paradise consume us. St. Cleopa, pray to God for us!
