Union of Orthodox Journalists Begins Active Work in Georgia

Georgia became the 10th country where the Union of Orthodox Journalists has opened.

NOTE: This has been reposted from the Union of Orthodox Journalists new Georgian branch.

The Union of Orthodox Journalists has opened in Georgia – an international organization already successfully operating in 10 countries. Its main purpose is the strengthening of the Orthodox faith, the defense of Christian values, and their popularization among the wider public.

For us, Georgia holds a special place as the country entrusted to the Mother of God. Here, where for centuries faith and the Church have formed the foundation of national identity, we see a particular need to amplify the Orthodox voice and provide society with reliable, thoughtful, and just information.

Our single aim is that the Orthodox religion in Georgia may become stronger, that faith among the people may be deepened, that the interests of the Church may be defended, and that society may be given the opportunity to better understand the depth and meaning of the holy Orthodox faith.

The Union of Orthodox Journalists is beginning its active mission in Georgia in service of faith, truth, and spiritual values.
