MTSKHETA — On Nov. 1, 2025, in Mtskheta, the traditional procession dedicated to the commemoration of St. Gabriel took place. Pilgrims set out on foot from the house of St. Gabriel the Confessor and Fool-for-Christ toward the Samtavro Monastery, where a Paraklesis service was conducted by Fr. Mikael Vachnadze.
As reported by UOJ's Georgian branch, the event was attended by clergy and faithful from Georgia, Russia, and Ukraine. After the Paraklesis service, the pilgrims venerated the grave of St. Gabriel and sought his prayers and blessings.
UOJ-Georgia provided a live broadcast of the procession. The event emphasized spiritual unity and love, reflecting the example of St. Gabriel’s life and his call to overcome hatred with love.
Previously, UOJ reported that the relics of St. Tikhon were venerated by 620,000 in Russia and Belarus during the centennial pilgrimage.
