DNIPRO — Today, Nov. 3, 2025, hearings continued in the case of Met. Arseny of Sviatohirsk in Soborny District Court. During the session, Met. Arseny suddenly became extremely unwell, which prompted a recess. He was soon transported to the hospital due to his condition.
According to the Sviatohirsk Lavra, Met. Arseny returned to his hotel for a brief rest, food, and medication during the recess. An ambulance was called, and his blood pressure was measured at 200 over 110 — a severe spike.
During the hearing itself, a video recording of Met. Arseny's arrest on Oct. 28, 2025, was shown, during which the hierarch and his defense lawyers were denied the opportunity to comment on the footage. This took place before Met. Arseny suddenly began to feel unwell.
"Faithful are being asked to offer fervent prayers," the Lavra stated. "It should be recalled that since Oct. 30, lengthy court sessions in the case of Metropolitan Arseny have been held daily."
Previously, UOJ reported that Met. Arseny is in urgent need of heart surgery.
