Former Metropolitan Ambrosios of Kalavryta of the Greek Orthodox Church said that the bishops of the GOC have forsaken the Communion of the Body and Blood of Christ and are promoting a vaccine for the coronavirus, reports Romfea.

Metropolitan Ambrosios, in an address to the Synod of the Greek Orthodox Church, asks whether the bishops' "persistent support for the imposition of the vaccine on the faithful is turning them into a tool of the devil?"

"You have abandoned efforts to vaccinate the faithful with the Vaccine called the Body and Blood of Christ, and with unprecedented persistence are engaged in promoting the Mitsotakis Vaccine!" the archbishop said.

He believes that from being representatives of Christ the Saviour, the hierarchs of the GOC who support the imposition of the vaccine "have become representatives of the public health service".

"You have abandoned concern for the soul and become concerned about the body! You have driven the faithful out of the house of the Lord! The temples are empty! You have preserved yourselves, and harmed the Mother Church!", Metropolitan Ambrosios wrote.

As reported, on January 14, 2022, former Metropolitan Ambrosios of Kalavryta appealed to the Synod of the GOC and asked to consider him "insane in Christ" since he does not understand the need for vaccination.
