The Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, congratulated His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on the 13th anniversary of his enthronement. The text of the congratulatory note is published on the official website of the UOC.

"On this memorable day of Your ascension to the Throne of the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, shining with the feats of many Saints, we are prayerfully with You, asking the Lord for an abundance of spiritual and bodily strength, health and peace in high Patriarchal ministry for Your Holiness. Your wonderful life path testifies to the versatility of your talents. Your pastoral sensitivity, wisdom, and zeal for entrusted obedience prompted the faithful children of our Most Holy Church to choose you as the helmsman of the ship of the Holy Russian Orthodox Church, where you show yourself as a good shepherd, laying down your life for your sheep (John 10:11).

May the Lord multiply your days in peace, health and well-being, granting His good help for many years of your Primate ministry," says the congratulatory message of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

On February 1, 2009, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia was enthroned at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow. He was elected to the Moscow Patriarchal Throne by the Local Council of the Russian Orthodox Church on January 27 of the same year.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church congratulated Patriarch Kirill on his 75th birthday.
