Head of Fanar assures Catholics that he diligently prays for unity with RCC

On February 16, 2022, at a meeting with Franz Luckner, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Salzburg, the head of Phanar assured of unity with the RCC in his daily prayers, according to the fosfanariou.gr website.

Patriarch Bartholomew, who is vacationing in Austria, met with Archbishop of the RCC Luckner and after the meeting made an entry in the guestbook.

He wrote that he wished "that the great and famous day of unity of all should not be delayed too long."

"Brother Pope Francis and our Humbleness are working hard and praying fervently for the speedy arrival of this day of the Lord," said Patriarch Bartholomew.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that according to the head of Phanar, the 21st century is a century of restoring unity between the RCC and Orthodoxy.
