“Theotokos with Javelin” mural finished in Kyiv
A mural depicting a woman with a halo holding an anti-tank missile system has been finished in Kyiv, reports the "Real Kiev. News of Ukraine" Telegram channel.
The pictures of the mural show the outline of a woman with a halo, with a trident depicted inside. She is holding an American Javelin man-portable anti-tank missile system designed to hit armoured vehicles and low-velocity, low-flying targets.
The mural was painted on the facade of house No 13 in Aviakonstruktor Antonov Street in Solomenskyi district of the capital.
As reported, the idea of depicting the Virgin Mary with a weapon in her hands received negative comments on the Internet.
