Zelensky and Johnson light candles in the cathedral of schismatics
On June 17, 2022, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson visited St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral, reports president.gov.ua.
The leaders of the two states put candles at the iconostasis in the cathedral.
Boris Johnson asked about the history of the monastery and its interior decoration. Vladimir Zelenskyy and Boris Johnson also laid flowers at the Wall of Remembrance for those who died for Ukraine, located on the territory of the cathedral.
Then the leaders went to view the destroyed Russian armoured vehicles.
St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral is the main cathedral of the OCU.
As previously reported, Zelensky submitted to the Rada a bill on the ratification of the Istanbul Convention.
