Primate of UOC blesses to offer prayers for AFU

On October 14, 2022, on the feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos and the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, prayers for the health of the living and memorial services for the dead Ukrainian soldiers are performed in churches and monasteries of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, reports the UOC Information and Education Department.

The corresponding blessing is sent to all eparchial bishops.

“October 14 is the Day of the Defenders of Ukraine. In this regard, in all the churches and monasteries of the eparchy entrusted to you, it is blessed to perform prayers for the living and memorial services for the deceased defenders of Ukraine,” the document says.

As earlier reported, His Beatitude spoke about the strength of the humble, whom God protects.
