The celebration of Fr. Timothy’s accomplishment coincided with the Feast of the Ascension of our Lord.

REDFORD, MI — On May 29, 2025, the Feast of the Ascension, Archpriest Timothy Barna, rector of St. Michael the Archangel Church, celebrated the 45th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood.

The occasion of the feast and Fr. Timothy’s accomplishment was marked with a Divine Liturgy concelebrated by Fr. Timothy and Priest Joshua Genig, dean of the Central States, along with Deacon David Rehn of the Orthodox Church in America. Parishioners from St. Michael’s were joined by faithful from the nearby St. Innocent of Irkutsk Church.

Fr. Joshua offered warm words of congratulations to Fr. Timothy and his wife, Matushka Sherry, along with small gifts in gratitude for their years of service after Holy Communion. Fr. Timothy, in turn, thanked the gathered community for their enduring support and prayers.
