Khmelnitsky deputies do not fall for the provocation of "Svoboda" to ban the UOC
As reported, the information about the proposal was not even mentioned on the official website of the City Council.
This idea was put to the vote by the deputy from the "Svoboda" faction Leonid Grach with the support of his fellow party members.
10 deputies out of 39 present at the meeting voted for the proposal.
Initially, at an extraordinary session of the Khmelnitsky City Council on March 15, it was about accepting an appeal to the leadership of the State for the peaceful settlement of the socio-political situation in Ukraine.
However, at the last moment the people's deputy from "Svoboda" proposed to vote together with other points of the appeal for the "prohibition of the ROC in Ukraine" – most likely he meant the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the resource says. The initiative did not find support among the deputies of the City Council.
