Four sold-out camp sessions, record CIT participation, and new programs made 2026 a memorable summer at Antiochian Village.

BOLIVAR, PA — Antiochian Village welcomed a full slate of campers this summer, with all four regular sessions selling out and the Counselors-in-Training (CIT) program reaching a record number of participants.

The 2026 season began with a sold-out Family Camp, followed by three weeks of staff training before campers arrived for the four summer sessions. Camp leaders also introduced new afternoon programs, while the Village hosted more than 60 alumni during a Homecoming Weekend held in the middle of the final session.

The summer included several opportunities for campers to worship alongside clergy and hierarchs. During Session 3, campers participated in joint services with priests attending the Archdiocese’s Clergy Symposium, with Metr. Saba and Metr. Yacoub Khoury of Buenos Aires and All Argentina presiding. Bp. Thomas of Oakland and several session priests also served and ministered throughout the summer.

Antiochian Village also welcomed recent high school graduates for its Arch Week Program, led by Bp. John and Fr. Matthew Howell. The program is designed to help young people prepare for the transition to life after high school.

With sold-out sessions, record participation, expanded programming, worship, and fellowship, the Village described the summer as one focused on its mission of nurturing faith in Jesus Christ through Orthodox Christian community.

Previously, the UOJ reported that Bp. Irinej visited campers during the third week at Shadeland.
