Wonderworking Icon to Visit Parish and Monastery in South Carolina
A three-day visit of the wonderworking icon of St. Anna will unite parish and monastery services in prayer and veneration.
WEST COLUMBIA, SC — In a release sent to UOJ-America, Holy Apostles Orthodox Church has announced the full schedule for the upcoming visit of the wonderworking icon of St. Anna, which will be venerated at both Holy Apostles and Sts. Mary and Martha Monastery from April 24–26, alongside a series of liturgical services, talks, and pilgrim gatherings.
On Friday, April 24, the visit will begin with a 5 p.m. parish potluck followed by a 6 p.m. Moleben in the temple and a spiritual talk by Fr. Sergius, abbot of St. Tikhon’s Monastery. The icon will be present at the parish that evening for veneration. On Saturday, April 25, the icon will be at the monastery in the morning for Divine Liturgy at 9 a.m., followed by a Moleben and an afternoon talk at 1 p.m., before returning to the parish for a 6 p.m. Vigil.
On Sunday, April 26, the icon will be at the parish for the 10 a.m. Divine Liturgy, during which Fr. Sergius will serve and offer a post-Liturgy talk. Parish leadership described the visit as a significant spiritual blessing, encouraging faithful participation in prayer and reflection throughout the weekend.
