WAYNE, WV — Christ the Savior Orthodox Church announced that its second annual Christ the Savior Music Symposium will take place June 3–6 in Wayne, bringing together Orthodox musicians, clergy, and faithful for four days dedicated to English-language Orthodox liturgical music.
The symposium will feature instruction and workshops led by Peter Fekula, Valentina Shatalova and Monk Philaret Farley of Holy Cross Monastery. Organizers said the program will include rehearsals, lectures, and opportunities for participants to sing together during liturgical services throughout the gathering.
Participants will join in singing Vespers and Matins on Friday evening and Divine Liturgy on Saturday morning. An optional Thursday evening trip to Holy Cross Monastery will include a monastery tour and dinner with the monastic brotherhood. The cost of attendance is $200 per person, with meals included. Organizers encouraged interested attendees to register through the symposium’s official website and ticketing platform before available spaces are filled.
