St. Vladimir’s Seminary Announces 2026 Commencement Ceremony
St. Vladimir’s Seminary will mark its 2026 Commencement with a livestreamed ceremony and keynote address by Charles Ajalat.
YONKERS, NY — St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary will hold its Commencement for the Class of 2026 on Saturday, May 16, beginning at 2:00 p.m. EDT with a Prayer of Thanksgiving in the Three Hierarchs Chapel, followed by exercises at 2:30 p.m. in the Metr. Philip Auditorium in the John G. Rangos Family Building.
The ceremony will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person, with registration required to receive access to the broadcast link, according to seminary officials.
Commencement speaker Charles Ajalat, a prominent Orthodox lay leader, attorney, and philanthropist, will address graduates. He previously served as an SVOTS trustee and holds degrees from Harvard and UC Berkeley, along with an honorary doctorate in Canon Law from the seminary.
Seminary leaders also highlighted alumni involvement, institutional support, and ongoing fundraising initiatives supporting academic programs, liturgical training, and digital publishing efforts across St. Vladimir’s Seminary and affiliated ministries and networks.
Previously, the UOJ reported that S. Vladimir’s Seminary was awarded a $25K grant to advance the study of Oriental Orthodox chant.
