In Duliby Kiev Patriarchate again seizes UOC church
June 26, in the village of Duliby, Goshcha district, Rivne region, Kiev Patriarchate representatives broke into the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin during the morning service, reports a UOJ correspondent.
Aggressively-minded UOC-KP followers disrupted the service and began to roughly push the faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church out of the church. These actions were accompanied by foul language and insults.
Now supporters of the Kiev Patriarchate are inside the church. The UOC parishioners, together with the rector Archpriest Sergei Timofeev, are lifting prayers in the churchyard.
It is noteworthy that on November 13, 2015, representatives of the Kiev Patriarchate submitted an application to Duliby village council for permission to make technical documentation for the building of a church and a house. On December 30, the village council granted such permission. On January 6, 2016, the religious community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church filed an administrative claim in Goshcha District Court, Rovno region. On January 11, 2016, Goshcha District Court issued a ruling on securing the claim by suspending the contested decision and prohibiting the Kiev Patriarchate representatives to take actions for the production of land use documentation.
