Registration Opens for First OCA-Wide Clergy Wives Retreat
The Orthodox Church in America’s first churchwide clergy wives retreat aims to strengthen ministry families through prayer, fellowship, and renewal.
SPRINGFIELD, VA — The Orthodox Church in America (OCA) has opened registration for the 2026 OCA-Wide Clergy Wives Retreat, organized through the Office of Pastoral Life. The gathering will take place July 27–30 at Antiochian Village Conference and Retreat Center under the theme “Come Away and Rest.”
Matushka Carrie Foley, director of the Clergy Wives Ministry, described the retreat as the first OCA-wide event of its kind bringing together clergy wives and widows from across the Church. She said the retreat will provide opportunities for prayer, encouragement, fellowship, and spiritual renewal away from the daily demands of parish life.
The program will include church services, presentations, small-group discussions, and time for rest and fellowship. Organizers are also encouraging parishes and donors to help cover registration and travel expenses for participants. Foley emphasized that clergy wives often serve quietly and sacrificially, adding that financial support for the retreat is a meaningful way to honor and strengthen clergy families and parish communities throughout the Church.
Registration and more information about the retreat can be found here.
Previously, the UOJ reported that Matushka Carrie Foley was appointed to lead the Clergy Wives Ministry.
