Authority is aimed at driving out UOC despite the large number of its parishioners, – expert
"I think the government is well aware of such statistics, – says Andrei Zolotarev. – And the new data do not change its position. In the government there are those who are only interested in a financial issue, but all that is being done is done in a creative alliance with people seeking at the natiocratic state with a corresponding position in the church issue. And the current government is aimed to drive out the UOC-MP."
The politologist believes that the only change in the political orientation of the country's leadership can deliver power of chimeras of natiocracy.
"So far, I repeat, we see a clear strategy aimed at driving out the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, right up to the intervention of the state in the church affairs, - the expert said. – It is unlikely that the numbers will affect something."
The survey "Religious life of Ukraine (September 2016)" conducted on 23 November by the company "Ukrainian Sociology Service" shows that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church confirmed its status as the largest denomination of the country, with 39% of believers to be its members.
