New Orthodox Parish School Set to Open in Pennsylvania

YORK, PA — St. John Chrysostom School (SJCS), a new parish school founded by St. John Chrysostom Antiochian Orthodox Church, is set to open its doors in the fall of 2026. The school aims to provide a classical Orthodox education that fosters a love of learning, faith, beauty, goodness, and Truth.
SJCS’s founders have spent years preparing the school, combining the Orthodox rhythm of life with the study of nature, the liberal arts, and the classics. The school will offer a rigorous, harmonious curriculum designed to nurture both mind and spirit in a supportive, faith-centered environment.
The school is currently enrolling students and hiring teachers. Led by Head of School Michael Hornbaker, with spiritual guidance from the Very Rev. Fr.
