Creative Easter services: "to stand all-night vigil" for you costs 250 UAH
Ads on Easter services appeared on the web. For example, you are offered to stand a liturgy in the church. The service is not cheap – minimum 50 UAH per hour; in Odessa or Nikolayev it is 5 UAH cheaper – 45 UAH.
At night time, prices are higher – businessmen offer you to stand an all-night vigil for 55 UAH.
Journalists called on one of these ads and asked to hold a place during the service near the president in the Vladimir Cathedral. "For several hours, I can stand for you for about 250 UAH. In addition, you must cover my transport costs," said Viktor from Kiev, who was ordered to stand a morning service. To confirm that the task is completed, he can send a photo or go live to the camera.
Also in the church itself, during the night service it is always possible to request an old woman to keep a chair or a seat on the bench for 10 - 20 UAH. "These elderly women keep seats almost from dinner time. And at night they can be asked to give a place to sit for 20-30 minutes. We always agree, because children cannot stand for such a long time. Though earlier it was possible to pay for the request with an Easter cake, but now it is better to give some money," said Anastasia Voronenko from Kiev.
For Easter, there are adverts of very unusual author's cakes. "We can offer you a cake in the form of the Vladimir Cathedral – if you want all the windows and doors to open, then it will take some time. Such work will cost at least 1500 UAH, " we were offered in one of the private confectionary of the capital.
Some are ready to bring the already prepared Easter basket for the Easter night. "If you’re pressed for time to cook a cake, to make sausage and color eggs, then we are ready to do all this for you. In the evening, a true Easter basket will be delivered to your home. A set of products can be supplemented with a bottle of Cahors, sweets and fruit. A small basket costs 600 UAH, and a large one costs 1500 UAH," says the announcement in social networks. "If you want the baskets to be consecrated, then for a small surcharge our courier will go to church and consecrate it," said a manager from Vinnitsa.
