US Secretary of State: America will no longer impose its values on the world
“If we stipulate our efforts in the sphere of national security by pushing others to adopt our values, we will apparently fail to achieve our goals. It really lays barriers for our capacity to promote our interests on security as well as economy,” said Tillerson on 3 May.
At the same time, he assured America is not going to give up its fundamental values. “It does not mean we leave our values on the roadside,” he remarked.
According to the US Secretary of State, the USA will stand for their values but without using them as a gear.
