Vladimir-Volynsky celebrates 1025th anniversary of the diocese formation (PHOTOS)
So the celebrations began on the occasion of the 1025th anniversary of the formation of the Orthodox Diocese in Volyn.
It is planned that the festive events will end with the Liturgy to be celebrated by the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine.
On May 10, on the feast day of All Saints of the Land of Volyn and St Stephen of Vladimir-Volynsky, the festive Divine Liturgy at the Assumption Cathedral of Vladimir-Volynsky was officiated by Metropolitan Simeon of Vinnitsa and Bar.
The service was followed by the cross procession to the Chapel of All Saints of the Land of Volyn.
The first bishop on the revived Vladimir-Volynsky throne was Metropolitan Simeon of Vinnitsa and Bar.
