Rada may consider anti-church bill № 4128 this week – Yelenskiy

Between May 23 and May 26, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine may consider one of the anti-church bills – № 4128, its author, an MP from the faction "People's Front" Viktor Yelensky, said to Obozrevatel.

The people's deputy, who participated in the meeting of the Conciliation Council of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, said: "We proposed to consider two bills from the Committee for Culture and Spirituality: about the cultural heritage and "church" bill №4128". He added that the issue will be considered at the meeting of the factions. It will be known "closer to the morning" if the bill is put on the agenda.

"My forecast is 50/50, because there is no special block about culture and spirituality," Yelensky added. He also said that another "church" bill – № 4511 – "we will discuss".

As the UOJ reported, on May 18 around 10,000 faithful from around the country gathered at the walls of the Verkhnova Rada for prayerful standing so that God could reason with MPs not to adopt antichurch bills.
