New church for Katerinovka community whose temple was seized by schismatics (PHOTOS)
Initially, the village authorities planned to allocate a land plot to the UOC community beyond the village boundary, motivating such a decision by saying that they "do not want the Moscow church in the village". One of the believers of the canonical Church gave his land for construction. Now the new church of the UOC stands in the center of the village, not far from the old church, seized by the schismatics in 2015.
Metropolitan Sergius presented the faithful with the icon of the Great Martyr Panteleimon, brought from Athos.
Vladyka awarded all those who were involved in the construction of the temple with letters of commendation. The UOJ was also granted an award for media support in the protection of the Orthodox shrine – St. Great Martyr Panteleimon’s Church.
