Sumy Cathedral defender is in coma for two years, the criminal is at large

Anatoly Borisenko, who was severely beaten in the territory of the Transfiguration Cathedral of the city of Sumy in October 2015, has been in a comic state to this day, said the statement of the Sumy Diocese.

“This example of cynical impunity is a testament to the inability of the authorities to protect their fellow citizens,” the Sumy Diocese notes.

The criminal, who was detained after committing the crime, is currently at large despite the fact that his guilt has been proven in court.

Anatoly Borisenko served as the head of the security service of the Transfiguration Cathedral and the Sumy Diocesan Administration. On the night of October 22, 2015, a member of the National Guard made an attempt on his life.

Believers of Sumy city are also outraged by the inaction of the authorities due to the provocations on the Holy Protection holiday.
