Truce is declared in Donbass for Easter holidays

A Tripartite Contact Group on regulating the situation in Donbass announced that the truce would be started from March 30, 2018, at 00:01 am, writes the OSCE website.

The parties confirmed their intention to adhere to the ceasefire, starting from March 30, 2018, 00.01 am.

"The Tripartite Contact Group, with the participation of representatives of certain regions of Donetsk and Lugansk, emphasizing the importance of ensuring peace and order for the population and taking into account the upcoming Easter holidays, and also on the basis of earlier agreements and commitments of the parties, confirms its full commitment to a comprehensive, sustainable and termless ceasefire," the document says.

Besides, for the period of funeral days, the regime of crossing the line of demarcation within Donetsk and Lugansk regions will be simplified.

Earlier, on March 2, the Tripartite Contact Group on regulating the situation in Donbass announced full and permanent ceasefire starting from March 5.
