Diocese broken away from UAOC asks UGCC head for intercession
The Kharkov-Poltava diocese of the UAOC (renewed) held a council
The draft will be posted on diocesan web resources after the finalization of the results of the discussion, according to the website of the UAOC (renewed).
The Council of the Kharkov-Poltava diocese of the UAOC (renewed) appealed to Sviatoslav Shevchuk with a request to represent the interests of the religious structure at the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations.
In addition, the session adopted a statement "The name of the UAOC (r) – a weapon of the hybrid war against the Ukrainian Church", which explains that there is no "UAOC (renewed)" in Ukraine, but the "Kharkov-Poltava diocese of the UAOC (renewed)" is registered. This does not mean that there are many schismatic structures in Ukraine but only testifies that at its time the Kharkov-Poltava diocese of the UAOC did not like " the entourage of Metropolitan Methodius (Kudriakov)". Metropolitan Methodius headed the UAOC until 2015.
Also, it was decided to send a letter to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman about the violation of the law "On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations" by the Department for Religions and Nationalities Affairs of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. What claims were made is not reported.
