Pochaev Lavra responds to accusations of dislike for the Ukrainian language
Holy Dormition Pochaev Lavra
The official website of the Lavra published a response to the charges, first voiced in Volyn24.
The scandal with "Ukrainophobia" in the Pochaev Lavra was called "as traditional, as ridiculous and fictitious from beginning to end".
"Nothing new, the enemies of the Shrine and Orthodoxy have long had problems with fantasy, they reacted in the Lavra. "And this throw-in in a "they say" style, presented without any names, dates or other details hinting at least at some kind of reliability, this most obvious throw is offered to "savor" and "analyze" to the former spokesperson of the UOC, Archimandrite Kirill (Govorun). What does the observer, once respected in the Orthodox community, do when they drop this obvious fake? Perhaps, like every clean person, clarifies the source of such "facts", or refuses to comment on such questionable and unconfirmed information? No, instead, according to the publication, Kirill (Govorun) accepted this message as a reliable fact and began from the heights of evangelical wisdom to condemn the non-existent father for a fictitious act."
The brotherhood of the Pochaev Lavra appealed to all media to remember the words of the Holy Gospel: "I tell you that for every idle word that people say, they will give an answer in the day of judgment: for from your words you will be justified, and from your words you will be condemned" (Mf .12, 36-37).
