On February 24, 2019, the religious community of the St. Paraskeva parish of the village of Bancheny of the Gertsa Deanery voted for loyalty to the UOC led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry, reports the press service of the Chernovtsy-Bukovina Eparchy of the UOC on its Facebook page.
As the UOJ reported, hundreds of priests and believers of the Chernovtsy region spoke out against the seizure of temples of the canonical Church. Against the backdrop of iniquity and widespread church raiding, a 24-hour prayer standing is underway in several parishes of the Chernovtsy Eparchy in defense of the faith.
