The cleric of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Archimandrite Maxim, who visited the Holy Dormition Pochaev Monastery a few days ago, addressed the believers of Ukraine with words of support. The video of the address was published on the Youtube channel of the Pochaev Lavra.
Father Maxim congratulated Orthodox Christians on Sunday and said that he had come to the Pochaev Lavra for the second time.
“I came from America at the invitation of my friend, Father Peter. The Lavra is a very beautiful place, there is enormous grace here and your Metropolitan Vladimir (the abbot of the monastery – Ed.) is a very vigorous person.”
In addition, the Serbian cleric said that Metropolitan Vladimir (Moroz) "as a spiritual person who gives us, Serbs, an example of how we should live and what our faith should be like."
Father Maxim also believes that Vladyka Vladimir shows personally what it means to be a Christian and an Orthodox person.
At the end of the address, he said that both in America and in Serbia "they pray for the long-suffering Orthodox people of Ukraine," and also asked to pray for the "long-suffering Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija."
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the secretary of the Tamassos Diocese of the Cyprus Orthodox Church, Archimandrite Nektarios (Bacopoulos), said that he was amazed by the faithfulness of the parishioners of the canonical Church, persecuted by the activists of the OCU.
