Filaret awards S14 for good deeds

The head of the Kiev Patriarchate Filaret Denisenko stated that he had awarded members of the right-wing nationalist organization “S14” exclusively for their good deeds.
After Filaret called himself “an opponent of the forced transfers of parishes and church seizures”, an employee of the “Strana.ua” online edition asked the head of the UOC KP why he awarded representatives of the right-wing organization that took part in seizures of temples.
“If I awarded someone, I awarded them for good deeds, not for bad ones. I awarded them for defending the Ukrainian land, the Ukrainian state – this is what I awarded them for. I did not know about their bad deeds,” he replied.
We recall that on May 30, 2019, the "Patriarch of all Rus-Ukraine" gave the activists of the "S14" and "Municipal Guard" groups medals "for fighting with the Russian aggressor". “War is evil that brings suffering and death. But it revealed the best features of our people. Did you fight? Yes, you did! Could you die? Could! Like your comrades and friends. Soldiers who defend their homeland embody the main commandment of God about love,” he said to those who were awarded.
