A festive program on Baptism Day to be presented at UOC press conference

On July 17, at the temple of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, a press conference entitled "The Day of the Baptism of Rus: prayer service at St. Vladimir Hill and Cross Procession-2019" will be held, the UOC Information Center reports.
The press conference starts at 14:00.
The head of the Synodal Information and Education Department of the UOC, Archbishop Clement (Vecheria) of Nezhin and Priluki, will tell about the shrines – relics of 8 saints and 5 miraculous icons which are to be delivered to the capital and available for worship, about honored guests from the Local Orthodox Churches who will arrive at the celebrations in Kiev, as well as about 3 new saints of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to be glorified at the festive Divine Liturgy.
Also, Darya Malashina-Mazur, a head of the Media Department of the UOC Information Center, will talk about specifics of the accreditation of journalists to participate in celebrations in 2019.

As the UOJ reported, the celebrations of the UOC in honor of the 1031st anniversary of the Baptism of Rus will be held on July 27 and 28: on July 27, a solemn prayer service will begin on St. Vladimir Hill at 13:00, led by the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Onuphry; on July 28, at 9:00, festive Divine Liturgy will take place on the square in front of the Assumption Cathedral of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. The Liturgy will be led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry in concelebration with the assembly of bishops.
Recall that in 2018, 250 thousand believers took part in Kiev-held festivities on the occasion of the 1030th anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus by St. Prince Vladimir.
