UOC hierarch meets with Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine

On September 18, 2019, the head of the UOC Holy Synod Study Committee, Metropolitan Clement (Vecheria) of Nezhin and Priluki attended a meeting of the Public Council for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Organizations under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, reports the Information and Education Department of Ukraine.
Irina Kovalchuk, secretary of the Department for Religious Education, Catechesis and Missionary Work of the UOC, also joined Vladyka Clement.
During the meeting, members of the Public Council discussed the problem of countering bullying in educational institutions. They also discussed the issue of providing spiritual and moral education for those who receive further education.
We recall that on August 17, 2019, Archbishop Clement (Vecheria) of Nezhin and Priluki was elevated to the rank of metropolitan.
