As it became known to the Union of Orthodox Journalists, the events around the Council of Primates of the Local Orthodox Churches, which will be held in Jordan from February 25 to February 27, 2020, were not allowed to be covered in the media.
Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem blessed only one media coverage of the work of the Primates' Council – the state Jordanian channel.
Two groups of Russian journalists have been already asked to leave the hotel. Representatives of the Russian media tried to film the developments from the roof of the neighboring building, but they were thwarted by the police.
As reported by the UOJ, the Jerusalem Patriarchate will host the Primates and their representatives as soon as they arrive in Jordan. The Synaxis of the Primates will be held on February 26.
